Late 2022 introduced everyone to the newest wave of advanced chatbots, most notably ChatGPT. Chatbots using artificial intelligence (AI) begs us to ask questions about what these advanced chatbots will provide businesses and whether they will reinvent or even replace traditional internet search engines. Trained to interact conversationally, some have dialogue formats that make them competent to answer follow-up questions, admit when they make a mistake, challenge incorrect assumptions, and even reject inappropriate requests. So, while these new human-like chatbots still have room for improvement, this technology is poised to become a game-changer.
